This free crochet dog sweater pattern would make a fantastic bumble bee costume for your puppy to wear on Halloween. It is also a great sweater to keep your chilly dog warm in the winter... no pun intended haha! Just don't forget to customize your creation with additional accessories such as a cute flower or bumble bee wings.
I designed this bumble bee sweater pattern with a ruffled edge and it looks great if your dog is a girl. If your dog is a boy you can choose to leave out the ruffled edge and crochet a straight row instead.
This dog sweater pattern is simple to crochet, just remember to measure your dog's neck, fore chest, chest and length so that the sweater will fit your dog's unique size.

Resources for Measuring and Crocheting Sweaters for your Dog:
Everyone's dog is shaped differently, and it can be frustrating when most dog crochet patterns (like this one) are only written for a certain sized dog. Because of this potential obstacle, several of my readers have asked me how to alter my pattern so that it would fit their dog. So instead of giving them an estimated answer, I researched and found a article that will not only teach you how to crochet a custom fit sweater for your dog, but will also provide the instruction you need to modify any crochet pattern for your dog by using a simple measure-to-fit-pattern concept.
